Neighbours' Krista Sinclair to resort to blackmail in poison mystery

Neighbours' Krista Sinclair shows a ruthless side next week as she tries to silence podcaster Liv Bellen once and for all.

Krista takes drastic action when Liv threatens to press charges against Holly Hoyland for attacking her.

The heated scenes come as part of Erinsborough's ongoing poisoner mystery, which has sparked frenzied speculation among the local community.

Upcoming scenes see Holly ramp up her detective work when she decides that Liv may be the guilty party.

Holly wonders whether Liv masterminded the poisonings in a twisted plan to raise the profile of her 'Crimesborough' podcast, which has released several episodes about the case.

She confronts Liv with her theories and ultimately sprays her in the face with dry shampoo when the showdown spirals out of control.

Holly's mood shifts when her friend Mackenzie Hargreaves presents new evidence revealing that Liv couldn't have committed the crimes. This means that Holly has just attacked an innocent woman.

Although a mortified Holly immediately apologises, Liv refuses to listen and vows to get the police to press charges over the incident.

Holly also expects to be fired from her job at Lassiters, but Krista lets her off with another formal warning over her behaviour.

Krista then goes above and beyond for Holly by trying to deal with Liv herself.

Using her Sinclair family name as leverage, Krista vows to organise a huge defamation lawsuit over the wild claims that Liv has been making about Leo Tanaka on her podcast.

Liv realises that she's fighting a losing battle if Krista goes through with her threats, so she changes her statement against Holly.

With the poisoning mystery still unresolved, though, is this lucky escape really enough to convince Holly to drop her amateur detective work?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Thursday, June 20.

Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach.
