Two more classic seasons of Neighbours are on their way to Amazon Freevee.

Back in November, it was announced that the streaming service was reviving the soap. In the run-up to the series' official relaunch later this year, Freevee has been re-releasing batches of classic Neighbours episodes.

The streamer had previously dropped one season a month — but next week, fans will receive the 2015 and 2016 seasons at the same time.

The news was announced on the soap's official Instagram account, in the caption of a sizzle reel-style video recapping memorable moments from Neighbours' past.

"Surprise! This time next week you will be getting not one, but TWO #Neighbours releases, where you'll be able to catch up on all of the 2015 AND 2016 drama!!! Better get watching on all the seasons so far," the post reads.

A trailer for the classic seasons was also posted to the soap's Instagram page.

Fans will remember the 2015 season for Neighbours' 30th Anniversary special, which saw several fan-favourite characters make a return to Erinsborough.

Meanwhile, the 2016 season saw tragedy with an explosion at the Lassiters Hotel and the hot air balloon crash.

Filming for the new season of Neighbours has already begun. Jackie Woodburne (Susan Kennedy), Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson), Ryan Moloney (Toadie Rebecchi), Tim Kano (Leo Tanaka), Ian Smith (Harold Bishop) and Rebekah Elmaloglou (Terese Willis) are amongst the stars reprising their roles.

There will also be exciting new arrivals on Ramsey Street, with The OC star Mischa Barton heading Down Under to play a character called Reece.

Big Brother Australia star Xavier Molyneux has seemingly also been cast in the show, after being photographed on set alongside Barton.

Neighbours returns in the second half of 2023, with new episodes streaming free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. Network 10 will retain first-run rights in Australia for the new series.
