Neighbours star responds to calls for Izzy to return again

Neighbours star Lucinda Armstrong Hall is aware fans have been wanting her onscreen mum Natalie Bassingthwaighte to return for the revival.

Armstrong Hall is back to play Holly Hoyland — the daughter of Karl Kennedy and Izzy Hoyland, portrayed by Alan Fletcher and Bassingthwaighte — in a regular capacity. While the father-daughter duo have some time to strengthen their bond in the new season, Izzy is nowhere to be seen, despite Bassingthwaighte appearing in the last few episodes of 2022.

"Lots of fans have been asking if Izzy will be coming back as well, which would be lots of fun," Armstrong Hall said in a short video released on the soap's official Twitter/X.

"I'm sure they'd get up to heaps of mischief together," Armstrong Hall continued. "It'd be interesting to see what their dynamic is like all these years later."

Speaking about her onscreen parents, Armstrong Hall thinks Holly is more similar to Izzy in her troublemaker ways.

"Holly's definitely taken after Izzy moreso than Karl," she said. "I think she'll maybe settle down and find her groove eventually but she's got a bit of a way to go."

The clip also gave fans an insight into Holly's relationship to newcomer Eden, played by Costa D'Angelo.

"Eden and Holly are exes and Eden treated her pretty badly and was quite nasty," Armstrong Hall revealed.

"Eden is a bit of a troubled character," D'Angelo added, confirming the drama for these two has only just started.
