Neighbours switching timeslots in Australia from next week

Neighbours is set to switch timeslots in Australia.

The soap recently returned to screens thanks to Amazon Freevee, which broadcasts the show outside of its native country.

While the new series has so far been shown on Channel 10 at 4:30pm four nights a week Down Under, it has been confirmed that it is getting a slight change-up, with Neighbours now moving to the 4pm slot Mondays to Thursdays from next Monday (October 9).

In its original place will be The Bold & The Beautiful, which returns to its previous slot before Neighbours returned.

“We have listened to the demand from our loyal viewers to return The Bold & Beautiful to its original time slot," a 10 spokesperson said (via TV Tonight).

In other Neighbours news, the show recently confirmed the return of Jessica Muschamp as Sharon Davies, the star having last appeared properly in 1990 and again briefly in last year's then-finale.

Announcing the return, the soap said: "Exciting news. Shazza's back! Jessica Muschamp will be reprising her iconic role of Sharon Davies for a guest stint, but what's led her back to Ramsay Street?"

Muschamp added in a video: "Hi Neighbours fans. Guess what? Shaz is back, at least for a little while. It's going to be so fun and I cannot wait for you to see it. Thank you so much for watching us, and thank you so much for saving the show. We'll see you soon."

Also set to return to the fold is Nathan Borg as Curtis Perkins, who said in a clip: "I'm very excited for everyone to see what's been happening on Ramsay Street. Lots of drama. See you soon."

Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4.30pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach.
