Newspaper vendor cracks CAT, makes way to IIM-Calcutta

Overcoming economic hurdles, a newspaper delivery boy, Shiv Kumar made his way to IIM- Calcutta, setting an example for millions aspiring to clear the Common Aptitude Test (CAT), one of the toughest exams for getting through the Management institute. In spite of encountering difficult times, Shiva never gave up. Initially he did seek financial help from some of his supporters but soon decided to earn for himself. In order to support his family and his education, Kumar decided to deliver newspapers at a relatively young age. Shiv Kumar's mother, Jaya Amma got emotional as she revealed how her son managed to study as well as work.
