Nick Cannon has been open about the births of his children in the media.
"I'm having these kids on purpose. I don't have no accident," he told the City Girls rappers JT and Yung Miami during a July 2021 interview on his syndicated radio show on Power 106 FM.
Cannon said he practices consensual non-monogamy and selects the mothers of his children wisely. "Trust me, there's a lot of people that I could've gotten pregnant that I didn't. The ones that got pregnant are the ones that were supposed to get pregnant," he added during his conversation with JT and Yung Miami.
Cannon has also spoken at length about how he prioritizes all of his many children.
"I wake up being a father thinking about my kids and everything else comes after that," Cannon told Tetris Kelly at a Billboard Live: R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players event in November 2022.
Cannon and then-wife Mariah Carey welcomed twins named Monroe and Moroccan in April 2011.
Carey and Cannon got married in 2008 after a brief courtship. They had twins, Moroccan and Monroe, who they and the press nicknamed #dembabies, in 2011. They separated in 2014 and their divorce was finalized in 2016. They continue to co-parent, and Cannon said on "The Jason Lee Show" in May 2023 that it was "healthier" for both them and their children to remain separated.
Cannon has shared some of their parenting challenges, including a squabble over when the twins would be allowed to get a cell phone, on "The Nick Cannon Show."
In February 2017, Cannon and model Brittany Bell announced they had a son, Golden "Sagon."
Bell, a former pageant queen who was crowned Miss Arizona in 2010 and Miss Guam in 2014, has dated Cannon on and off for years.
Bell's first pregnancy was reported in November 2016, and Cannon confirmed that he was the baby's father in an interview on the Breakfast Club. "God said be fruitful and multiply. I'm doing the Lord's work," he told hosts DJ Envy, Charlemagne Tha God, and Angela Yee.
Cannon announced the baby's birth with a sweet Instagram message in February 2017.
"God always reminds us of our purpose #TrueHappiness Welcome to Earth Son! Golden "Sagon" Cannon 2/21/17 #Awakened," he wrote in a caption of a now-deleted photo of him practicing skin-to-skin contact with his newborn.
In June 2023, Cannon said on "The Language of Love" podcast that he was considering telling Golden about his other siblings, but felt like his son had "kind of already figured it out."
"He knows he has other siblings. Even within his own house, he's not an only child," Cannon said on the podcast. "He knows about his older siblings. He's been around the younger ones."
In July, Cannon shared a photo of Golden and Moroccan together, captioning it "brotherly love."
In December 2020, Cannon and Bell welcomed their second child, a daughter named Powerful Queen Cannon.
Bell announced that she and Cannon were expecting their second child together by posting an image of Golden sporting a Spider-Man costume with a cape that read "big brother" on the back in June 2020.

Cannon later praised Powerful Queen in a September 2022 Instagram post, sharing a photo of her smiling after getting a cast cut off her leg.
"Truly living up to her name as a Powerful Queen Super Hero!" he wrote in the caption. "A Scary journey for Daddy to say the least but Pow kept me from being an emotional wimp! She is my hero!!"
Cannon and Abby De La Rosa had twins named Zillion and Zion in June 2021.
Abby De La Rosa announced that she and Cannon were expecting twins with an Instagram post in April 2021. She said Cannon was her "dearest friend" and had won her heart with "openness and honesty."
They welcomed twin boys named Zillion and Zion that June and celebrated the brothers turning 1 month old with a music-themed family photoshoot. The babies wore oversized headphones and posed with tiny turntables representing their parents, who are both DJs.
Cannon and model Alyssa Scott welcomed a baby boy named Zen the same month Zillion and Zion were born.
Scott worked on Cannon's comedy improv show "Wild N' Out." She announced she and Cannon were expecting a child together with a now-deleted Instagram post in January 2021. Their child Zen was born in June 2021.
Zen died at 5 months old from brain cancer on December 5, 2021. The loss inspired Cannon to start a foundation dedicated to pediatric healthcare.
Cannon wrote about the experience of losing his son on Instagram. "Losing a child has to be the heaviest, most dark and depressive experiences that I will never get over. A mixture of guilt, pain, and sorrow is what I suppress daily," he wrote.
In June 2022, Cannon had his first child with model and realtor Bre Tiesi, a son named Legendary Love.
Tiesi, who joined the cast of "Selling Sunset" in season six, told the "Know For Sure" podcast in June 2022 that she and Cannon had been dating on and off for 10 years. The couple also worked together on Cannon's "Wild N' Out."
They welcomed their son, Legendary Love, in June 2022. They shared the news on Instagram with a photoshoot where they wore all white.
Cannon announced that he'd welcomed his first child with photographer and model Lanisha Cole in September 2022, a daughter named Onyx Ice Cole Cannon.
Cannon announced their new addition in a September 2022 Instagram post featuring a snapshot of himself, Cole, and their baby girl in the hospital. He expressed his admiration for Cole in the caption of the post.
"@MissLanishaCole is one of the most guileless, peaceful and nonconfrontational kind souls I've ever witnessed, and only deserves to revel in this moment of blissful joy of motherhood," he wrote.
In October of that year, he posted photos of Onyx Ice's dedication ceremony on Instagram.
"Onyx Ice Cole Cannon as dedicated to Yahweh today!!!" he wrote in the caption. "If God Be For Us, who can be against us!"
Cannon previously said he probably spends the most time with Onyx out of all his children. In a May 2023 interview on "The Jason Lee Podcast," Cannon said he saw the then 8-month-old three times a week and even had a nursery for her connected to his office.
Cannon told podcast host Jason Lee that Cole "gives me the respect enough to allow me to have her really, an equal amount of time as she does."
In September 2022, Cannon and Bell welcomed their third child together, and Cannon's tenth child, Rise Messiah Cannon.
Cannon announced the birth on his Instagram and also posted a video of the "blessingway" he and Bell hosted. Cannon said in his caption that they needed the support because Bell experienced difficult labor.
"A bunch of powerful prayer warriors interceding for our new child's entrance to Earth! And boy did we need it! Probably the most difficult labor and delivery I have ever witnessed! 48 hours of excruciating pain and life risking danger to welcome 10 pounds of Love and joy," he wrote.
He gushed with admiration for his co-parent in the caption.
"@missbbell has been the rock and foundation of my Fatherhood journey. She has taught me so much about parenting, psychology, spirituality, love and just life in general," he wrote.
Cannon and De La Rosa welcomed their third child together, a daughter named Beautiful Zeppelin, in November 2022.

De La Rosa joked on her Instagram story that a brief encounter with a Libra could become a full-blown family overnight. "Damn! lol 1 night turned into 4 years and 3 kids real quick," she wrote, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The pair celebrated their expanding family with a denim-themed photoshoot with their twins Zillion and Zion.
De La Rosa had previously opened up about her non-monogamous relationship with Cannon on the Lovers and Friends with Shan Boodram podcast in September 2022.
"Our connection was very freeing, and it was very fun and open. I took that exactly for what it is," she said.
Cannon and Scott welcomed their second child together, daughter Halo Marie, in December 2022.
Scott revealed her pregnancy in an October 2022 Instagram post, and she and Cannon confirmed that he was the child's father by sharing a series of images from their maternity shoot the following month.
In her announcement of Halo's birth, Scott posted a video on Instagram that included tributes to her and Cannon's late son Zen. The video featured footage of the delivery, where the parents learned their new baby was a girl, and also showed Scott's tattoo tribute to her late son.
"Zen is in every breath I take. I know his spirit was with us in the room that morning. I know he is watching down on us," wrote Scott in the caption for the video clip.
