  • Before her death Nicole Brown Simpson had two children: a daughter, Sydney, and a son, Justin.

  • The two minors were raised by their father, OJ Simpson, after he was acquitted in 1995.

  • Today, the siblings — now 38 and 35 — live and work in Florida and have become parents themselves.

"The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson," Lifetime's new docuseries, lifts a lid on the events leading up to and the aftermath of Nicole Brown Simpson's death.

The four-part series, which has been released ahead of the 30th anniversary of Brown Simpson's death, details the late mom's life and "provides an opportunity for Nicole's own narrative and voice to be heard in one of the most notorious crimes and trials in history," according to its synopsis.

On June 12, 1994, Brown Simpson was killed at her home in Brentwood, California, alongside her friend, Ronald Goldman. Her ex-husband, former NFL player OJ Simpson, was accused and later acquitted of the crime in a highly publicized trial the following year. In a civil lawsuit in 1997, he was found liable for both deaths.

Brown Simpson was married to the football star turned actor for seven years between 1985 and 1992. According to the docuseries, she met him in 1977 when she was just 18. At the time, Simpson was still married to his first wife, Marguerite Whitley, with whom he shared three children.

Together, Brown Simpson and Simpson — who died of metastatic prostate cancer on April 10 at the age of 76 — had two children of their own: a daughter named Sydney Brooke Simpson, who was born in 1985, and a son named Justin Ryan Simpson, who was born in 1988.

They were eight and five, respectively, when their mother died. The pair, now in their late 30s, have chosen not to participate in the docuseries.

However, the project features interviews with 50 people who knew Brown Simpson well, including her sisters, Denise, Dominique, and Tanya Brown, and close friends, Kris Jenner, Faye Resnick, and Brian "Kato" Kaelin.

Here's where Brown Simpson's children are today and what happened to them after their mother's death and father's trial.

Sydney Brooke Simpson was born the same year Nicole Brown Simpson and OJ Simpson married.

Sydney Brooke Simpson was born on October 17, 1885, per People. As her birth came nine months after Simpson and Brown Simpson wed in a February 2 ceremony, she "could have been a honeymoon baby, could have been a pre-honeymoon baby," according to Brown Simpson's sister, Dominque Brown.

She was eight years old when her mother was murdered in 1994. After Brown's death and amid her father's trial, she was looked after by her maternal grandparents, Louis Brown and Juditha Brown.

However, after her father was acquitted, Sydney and her younger brother were placed back into his custody, according to The New York Times. The elder Browns fought unsuccessfully for custody of the pair until 2006, when they had both turned 18 and were no longer considered minors.

She now lives a private life and chose not to participate in the new docuseries.

According to The Los Angeles Times, Sydney obtained a degree in Sociology from Boston University. After that, she spent time in Atlanta before she moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, People reports.

An article published in The Tampa Bay Times in 2016 stated that Sydney had pursued a career in real estate and owned multiple properties in Florida.

Now 38, Sydney seemingly has no presence on social media and appears to keep her life private.

In May 2024, Sydney's aunt, Dominique, said that after being thrown into the spotlight as a child, Sydney and her younger brother prefer "to just stay low-key."

Justin Ryan Simpson, Simpson and Brown Simpson's younger child, was on August 6, 1988, People reported.

He was five when the tragic events of June 1994 took place and, like his older sister, was sleeping upstairs at the property on 875 South Bundy Drive in Brentwood the night Simpson and Goldman were murdered.

Like Sydney, he was temporarily cared for by the Brown family during his father's trial before being returned to Simpson's care after his acquittal.

In her People interview, Dominique stated that she and her sisters lost touch with Justin and his older sister after this. It was only through "The Life & Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson" that the aunts learned about what the rest of their childhood entailed.

"We found out a lot of things went down in Florida—911 calls with the kids saying, 'Daddy, stop,' their house getting raided, just chaos," Dominique said.

Now, Justin Ryan Simpson is a father himself.

Following renewed interest in his mother's death and father's legal battles in 2016 when the TV dramatization "The People v. O.J. Simpson" aired on FX, Justin spoke to The Tampa Bay Times and stated that he also works in real estate.

A Zillow profile that appears to belong to Justin reads: "Justin has seen a diverse spectrum of markets from Los Angeles to Chicago, Miami and Atlanta. Having spent years in multi-family renovation and income properties, Justin has turned his focus to helping others succeed as he has."

On an Instagram page People identified as belonging to Justin, the now 35-year-old, announced in February 2022 that he was going to be a first-time dad and was expecting a child with his partner.

He shared a photograph of an ultrasound scan and said that they planning to name her Lana. A gift registry he provided a link for indicated that the baby was due to be born on May 3, 2022.

"We are extremely excited, scared, nervous and in love ❤️ ❤️ ❤️," the post was captioned. "In only a few short months we will be welcoming little Lana and can't wait for you to meet her!"

"The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson" will air on June 1 and 2 at 5 p.m PT/8p.m. ET on Lifetime.
