Nikki Bella has responded to WWE failing to mention her while promoting her USA Network series Barmageddon.

On last week's Raw, commentator Michael Cole promoted the series, referencing Nikki's co-host Blake Shelton but failing to mention her name.

Speaking to NBC Chicago Nikki, who is now known as Nikki Garcia, said: "It’s sad. There’s obviously a lot I'd like to say...it’s disappointing.

"I worked there for sixteen years and I helped pave the way for them. And not only that, they’ve always been family to me.

"And no matter what, walking away, for me, it wasn’t malicious. I’m at a point in my life and wanted to do things without hearing the word no. It was just strictly business."

Nikki went on to say that she doesn't think male ex-WWE Superstars are treated the same way as women who have left the company.

"For some reason with the women who are outspoken in the past, they just want to ban us and I think it’s sad because we don’t look at it as family," she continued.

"You don’t want to say my name, but that’s fine, hey, Barmageddon got a shot out and so did Blake Shelton so that makes me happy.

"So many people in the WWE will always be family to me and I communicate with so many of them. The WWE Universe will always be family to me as well as my Bella Army so I’m appreciative of all of you and all of us that can still live the memories."

Nikki and her sister Brie revealed their departure from WWE in March on an episode of their podcast The Nikki & Brie Show.

Announcing the move and their name change, Nikki said: "Today, we are officially the Garcia Twins, Brie and Nikki Garcia.

"We’re going to be 40 in November, we’re mothers, we’re entrepreneurs, we’re executive producers, we’re starring now, we’re hosting shows, and when our contract came up with WWE, mutually we all knew that we just needed to head into this new chapter."
