Nina Dobrev undergoes surgery after recent e-bike accident

“Vampire Diaries” star Nina Dobrev had to undergo surgery following her recent e-bike accident and hospitalization.

The “Degrassi” alum, 35, on Wednesday shared photos from her hospital gurney, noting on Instagram, “Surgery was a success,” with a heart-hands emoji.

“Thank you to everyone who has been sending kind messages, thoughts, prayers, and good vibes,” Dobrev captioned the post. “I have been feeling the support and positive energy. It means more than you will ever know.”

“WE ALL LOVE YOU,” commented ex-Olympian snowboarder Shaun White, whom Dobrev has been dating since 2020.

Dobrev shared a “how it started vs how it’s going” post on May 20. In it, the first snap showed her atop the bike, posing in an otherwise empty street and ready to ride. The latter showed the actress on a gurney with an IV in her arm, a neck brace and a knee brace on her left leg.

She noted in an Instagram story at the time that she was OK but had “a long road of recovery ahead.”

Earlier Wednesday, she posted a selfie from the gurney, asking on her Instagram story: “Anyone else get scared before surgery? I’m such a baby when it comes to needles, blood or procedures of any kind.”

She added in subsequent posts that she wanted “one last photo of my leg – pristine – before it’s all scarred up” and shared a clip of her writing in marker on the leg, “Yes,” with an arrow.

“Fun fact: they make you draw on whatever extremity is being operated on to confirm that it is the correct limb,” she said. “(Because I guess it’s happened in the past that some surgeons have accidentally operated on the wrong limb. … Yikes!!!”
