NTT Docomo Doubles 4G Subscribers in 6 Months, Now Up to 10 Million

NTT Docomo's (NYSE:DCM - News) 4G service surpassed five million subscribers back in August last year - and now just six months later that has doubled to 10 million.

Docomo's ‘Xi’ LTE service was an early starter in Japan, coming online back in December 2010. After a very quiet first year, explains the Startup Dating site, it began to take off only last year. Phones likes the quad-core LG Optimus G are among its flagship devices. It's doing pretty well despite the Xi LTE network not supporting Apple's iPhone 5.
