The Florida Panthers captured their first Stanley Cup in franchise history with a 2-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 7 on Monday night in Sunrise, Fla.

Edmonton was attempting to become the second team in history to win an NHL title after facing a 0-3 series deficit in the final.
