Olivia Culpo Sets Off for Nuptials to Christian McCaffrey in Decked-Out Private Plane: 'Let the Wedding Shenanigans Begin'

Culpo and her NFL fiancé began dating in 2019 and got engaged in April 2023

Olivia Culpo is on her way to saying "I do!"

On Monday, June 24, the 32-year-old model shared a video on her Instagram Stories featuring herself and her NFL star fiancé, Christian McCaffrey, walking out onto an airport tarmac to board a decked-out private plane bound for their wedding location.

In the video, Culpo was dressed in a white outfit and carrying a large YSL tote bag, accompanied by her dog. McCaffrey, 28, followed behind her, carrying duffle bags.

"Let the wedding shenanigans begin," Culpo captioned the clip.

The video also captures Culpo gasping with delight upon seeing the outside of the plane decorated with "Mr. & Mrs." letters and balloons. In the moment, she turned to McCaffrey in shock, and then proceeded to wave hello to the crew and pilot.

"Soo sweet," she wrote on a following photo showcasing the decorations on the plane's exterior.

Last month, Culpo, who began dating the San Francisco 49ers running back in 2019 and got engaged in April 2023, shared a glimpse of her Malibu, California, bridal shower on social media.

Leading up to the event, she posted a “bridal shower GRWM” video, in which she showed off two different white dress options for the party. Ultimately, she settled on a white floor-length dress with puffy sleeves.

Later on her Instagram Stories, Culpo gave a closer look at her bridal shower festivities, which included tables filled with flowers and ribbon details, a picturesque ocean view and a surprise visit from McCaffrey.

In May, Culpo told PEOPLE that she can’t wait for her wedding day and to spend the rest of her life with McCaffrey.

“I'm looking forward to marrying my best friend,” she said. “I'm very excited for that next chapter, and I feel very lucky. He's a great guy.”

She also shared that while wedding planning has been fun, it's also been a learning experience for the couple.

“It's just logistically complicated,” the model explained. “Figuring out what everyone's going to wear, figuring out where everyone's going to stay, making sure that everybody's happy.”

“I feel like as a people pleaser, I want to make sure everybody else is having the best time ever, but I know that everything will fall into place,” she added. “I feel really good about it.”
