Olivia Munn is returning to the red carpet.

On Monday, June 10, the actress, 43, attended her first big public event since revealing in March that she'd been diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer almost a year before and had undergone a double mastectomy.

Munn looked stunning while attending the 17th annual Tribeca Festival Artists Dinner hosted by Chanel at The Odeon in New York City, wearing a shimmering metallic Chanel chain mail-style jumpsuit featuring a halter-neck top that she teamed with a nude Chanel purse.

The X-Men: Apocalypse star added some extra height with a pair of strappy gold heels, and she wore her dark hair in loose waves around her shoulders.

Munn's appearance came after she opened up about undergoing a double mastectomy and breast reconstruction following her breast cancer diagnosis on a June 4 episode of the health and wellness podcast, SheMD with Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi and Mary Alice Haney.

Speaking about the reconstruction, Munn said she cried the first time she saw her breasts after the surgery.

"I was by myself in my bathroom, and I looked at them and I cried in a way that I don't think I've ever cried in my life," Munn, who shares son Malcolm, 2, with partner John Mulaney, 41, told the podcast.

"I was devastated. I didn't recognize myself. I didn't know how I would ever dress myself again. I thought, 'Oh, there are so many styles, so many things that I'll never be able to wear.' It just looked like someone took off my breasts and then took some tape and paper and stuff and Tupperware, and they're like, 'Here,' " Munn added.

The star, who said she felt “much better” about the results as time went on, admitted the surgery was part of the reason she grew her hair out.

"I wanted to be able to hide the scars," Munn said. "I want to be able to hide the sides of the implant and feel comfortable like that.”

A few days prior to revealing her breast cancer diagnosis, Munn attended the 2024 Oscars on March 10 with Mulaney. The actress donned a chrome Fendi gown featuring a knotted asymmetrical halter-neckline and floor-sweeping cape for the ceremony. She teamed the incredible ensemble with a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes.

The following month, Munn spoke to PEOPLE and said she "just absolutely broke down" after seeing the results of her 10-hour double mastectomy surgery in May 2023.

After having reconstructive surgery in the fall, Munn then began hormone suppression therapy in November to mitigate future risk of cancer, which has put her into medically induced menopause.

Despite the hot flashes, thinning hair, and exhaustion, Munn told PEOPLE, "I'm extremely happy that I got the opportunity to fight," adding, "I was given that chance, and I know a lot of people in my situation don't have that as an option. So I'm extremely grateful.”
