OPP search and recovery teams looking for missing swimmer

Provincial police are looking for a swimmer who went missing in Leamington on Sunday.

According to Essex County OPP, police received a report around 7 p.m. Sunday of a swimmer that entered the water near the Leamington docks and "began to struggle and did not resurface."

The Canadian Coast guard, Leamington fire services, Essex Windsor EMS and a civilian marine tow service were unable to locate the individual, police said.

The OPP's underwater search and recovery unit is now attending.
