OrangeTee & Tie strengthens cross border ties with Malaysia’s CBD Properties

OrangeTee & Tie has, on Sept 26, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with CBD Properties, for a strategic collaboration to conduct cross border marketing and technological initiatives between the two companies.

The MOU was signed by Mr Steven Tan, Managing Director of OrangeTee & Tie and Mr Adrian Wang, Managing Director of CBD Properties. OrangeTee & Tie is one of the fastest growing and most dynamic real estate enterprises in Singapore and the region, while CBD Properties is a leading multi-award-winning real estate firm in Malaysia.

The cross border collaboration will include marketing activities for both companies’ projects in Singapore and Malaysia, the potential integration of OrangeTee’s digital platforms – Agent App and Property Agents Review – with CBD Properties’ digital capabilities, as well as the cobranding of OrangeTee’s and CBD’s brands in Malaysia.

This collaboration marks the first time OrangeTee and Tie’s technology is being used outside of Singapore, since its move towards becoming a technology driven company in 2015.

“Since announcing our plans to digitally transform our business in 2015, OrangeTee & Tie has gained incredible traction and success in providing cutting edge technology to our associates,” Tan said. “[This has] helped [our associates] improve their productivity by leaps and bounds.”

“When we build our digital platforms, we ensured that they are very scalable and we believe that now is the right time to bring these platforms out of Singapore to expand to more business opportunities,” he adds.

According to Tan, CBD Properties made an ideal partner for OrangeTee with which to expand the use and reach of the latter’s technology. “CBD Properties is a well-established company with a highly dynamic management team and sales force. Their vision to become a technology-driven company is aligned with ours, hence it was seamless to enter into a strategic collaboration with them,” Tan explained.

“In nearly every market, technology advancement is changing the basis of competition as the behaviour and expectations of consumers are constantly evolving, including the way they transact their properties,” says Wang. “It is timely and important for CBD Properties to accelerate the adoption of modern technology so that our associates are tech-enabled, which will help them provide high value and personalised services to their clients.”

Perhaps the partnership is also a testament to how far OrangeTee has come in its digital transformation.

“OrangeTee & Tie is widely recognised to be successful in innovation and transformation and this is why we believe this collaboration synergy will help fast track our digital journey,” says CBD Property’s Wang.
