Orlando theme parks brace for Hurricane Irma

(Reuters) - Walt Disney World said its theme park in Florida would remained closed on Sunday and Monday, joining a growing list of top Orlando attractions that are bracing for Hurricane Irma, which is poised to strike the state on Sunday. While some of its units will close early on Saturday, resort hotels will remain open, Walt Disney World said in a blog post on Friday. (http://bit.ly/2eKzQPL) Universal Orlando Resort, which is owned by Comcast Corp , will close early on Saturday and remain shut until Tuesday, according to the theme park's website. (http://bit.ly/2ePh2lZ) SeaWorld Entertainment Inc said it is planning to close its Orlando theme park for the same period. (http://bit.ly/2ePh2lZ) On Thursday, Wal-Mart Stores Inc said some of the company's facilities would be close or adjust hours of operation due to Hurricane Irma. China anchors 'monster ship' in South China Sea, Philippine coast guard says
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said on Saturday that China's largest coastguard vessel has anchored in Manila's exclusive economic zone (EEZ) in the South China Sea, and is meant to intimidate its smaller Asian neighbour. The China coastguard's 165-meter 'monster ship' entered Manila's 200-nautical mile EEZ on July 2, spokesperson for the PCG Jay Tarriela told a news forum. The PCG warned the Chinese vessel it was in the Philippine's EEZ and asked about their intentions, he said.
