Osama K. charged with 'terrorist murders' over Brussels attacks

Maelbeek station in Brussels has been closed since Khalid El-Bakraoui detonated a bomb at 9:11 am on March 22 that killed 16 people on a train, part of coordinated attacks that hit the airport just over an hour earlier

Osama K. has been charged with taking part in "the activities of a terrorist group and terrorist murders" in connection with the Brussels airport and subway bombings, prosecutors said Saturday. Osama K. was identified as the man who appeared with the suicide bomber at the Malbeek subway station and the one who bought bags used to conceal the bombs set off by two suicide attackers at the airport on March 22, the federal prosecutor's office said in a statement.
