Oura Ring: England players hope wearing 'secret weapon' is smart move during Euro 2024

England have turned to a health-monitoring ring as they seek to edge ahead of the pack.

The FA are believed to have spent more than £12,000 so that Gareth Southgate, his players and even England staff each have an Oura Ring to wear during Euro 2024.

The smart rings monitor everything from sleep quality to stress levels and heart health.

The likes of Conor Gallagher and Marc Guehi have already been seen wearing them in training, and Southgate himself seems committed to keeping his on throughout.

The Oura Ring costs £421, and the squad join Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Aniston and Prince Harry in having tried it.

Oura's website claims the product has a million clients globally and that users have experienced an 87 per cent upturn in their overall health.

A statement reads: “Whether you’re managing a professional sports organisation or training elite forces, ensure your team is always performing at the highest level with precise biometrics.

“Use accurate, continuous data to prioritise rest, adjust training schedules, monitor recovery, and detect signs of illness, injury, and fatigue.”
