Paget Brewster Got Nostalgic About Her 'Criminal Minds' Run Ahead of 'Evolution' Season 2
Paget Brewster has been a staple on Criminal Minds ever since her character Emily Prentiss debuted in the hit TV franchise back in 2006, in the ninth episode of season 2. Well, ahead of her starring in the next installment of Criminal Minds: Evolution, she's reflecting about how special her time has been.
With Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2 airing on June 6 on Paramount+, the actress noticed user @friendsbuffays on X (formerly Twitter) post behind-the-scenes photos of Paget from when she started on the original iteration of the franchise. When the user commented how thrilled Paget must've been to be starring on a hit show as a series regular, Paget quickly replied to the tweet on May 18 with thoughts on how she continues to feel lucky about portraying the BAU section chief.
"It was one of the most exciting things I had ever felt, even more than 'Friends' because I was a series regular. And I still feel it, all the time," she wrote while referencing her well-known role as Kathy on Friends. "I'm a very lucky lady."

When fans saw Paget get nostalgic about her time working on Criminal Minds over the last two decades, it didn't take long for others to voice how they've loved seeing her on their TV screens.
"That’s amazing!! And we are very lucky to have you, I can’t imagine anyone else playing Emily! 💕," one person wrote on X. "Life, destiny wanted you to be Emily Prentiss and that is never forgotten 👌🥹✨," another declared. "The show started to get really really good when you came on as Emily Prentiss! I usually don't even rewatch episodes without you in them!" a different follower added.
As viewers remember, Paget first appeared on the show from season 2 through part of season 6, when her character faked her death in order to go undercover for her protection. She later came back for season 7, before departing and making appearances in seasons 9 and 11. She officially came back as a series regular in season 12 in September 2016, and has been part of the franchise ever since.
