Pakho Chau: Don't expect a lavish proposal from me!
8 Aug - Pakho Chau will do anything for his future wife, but spending too much money for a proposal is not one of them.
According to Apple Daily, the singer recently recorded a radio drama, "Tang Qi Space Station", with fellow singers Kandy Wong and C Kwan at RTHK - a story about a girl demanding her boyfriend to buy property before getting married.
When asked if his girlfriend wants the same thing from him, Pakho stated that he is already an owner of some properties, though they have yet to talk about marriage.
However, Pakho stressed that he will not spend too much on proposal, like a certain Hong Konger named Victor Tang, who recently made headlines for spending HKD400,000 (approximately USD51,602) to propose to girlfriend of more than a year.
The proposal included a helicopter flying over Victoria Harbour with a banner saying, "I love you! Stephanie BB, will you marry me?", and a suite at Hong Kong's Ritz Carlton.
"If my future wife wants me to do the same thing, maybe I have picked the wrong girl," said Pakho. "400k is a lot, and can be used to help a lot of underprivileged people."
"The money can be used for a better cause," he added.
