Paramount Promotes Jeff Grossman to Paramount+ Programming Head, Amy Kuessner to Pluto TV Content Chief

Paramount Global’s streaming division has elevated two content execs to new leadership positions: Jeff Grossman is now EVP of programming for Paramount+ and Amy Kuessner, EVP of programming for Pluto TV, the company’s ad-supported streaming service.

Grossman will oversee a “holistic” content strategy for Paramount+ globally. He most recently was EVP of content and business operations for Paramount Streaming. Kuessner formerly was EVP, content strategy and global partnerships for Paramount Streaming. In her new role, she will lead the content strategy for Pluto TV, which includes the curation and programming of free, ad-supported television (FAST) channels and content licensing globally.

Both execs now report to Tom Ryan, president and CEO, Paramount Streaming. Grossman previously reported to Tanya Giles, former head of global streaming content, prior to her departure earlier this year. Kuessner previously had reported to Jeff Shultz, Paramount Streaming’s chief strategy officer and chief business development officer.

The media company said the organizational change “will enable the division to better leverage, customize and showcase content across its streaming ecosystem so that both brands can continue to scale quickly in their categories and build on their success.”

As head of Paramount+ programming, Grossman will lead content planning, scheduling, acquisitions, merchandising and operations. The L.A.-based exec collectively has spent more than 15 years at the company, and he was part of the core team that launched Paramount+.

Kuessner is credited with being instrumental in the creation of Pluto TV’s original channel strategy. According to Paramount, she struck the first-ever FAST deals with the NFL, CNN, Scripps (now part of Warner Bros. Discovery), BBC and AMC Networks, among others. Kuessner splits her time between Los Angeles and Denver.
