Parents of Nottingham attack victim Grace O’Malley-Kumar speak out after calls for daughter to be awarded George Cross
The parents of Nottingham attack victim Grace O’Malley-Kumar said they are “humbled” by the calls for their daughter to be awarded the George Cross.
In an interview on Good Morning Britain today (May 1), Grace's mother, Sinead, said: "It was in her nature to stand by her friend."
She also said it was not on her or her husband's "radar" to ask for the honour to be given to their daughter.
Grace died defending her friend, Barnaby Webber, who was also killed in the violent knife attack when the pair were returning from a night out last year.
