Park Jung-hwan sues Lee Ha-neul again

9 Dec – It It's just been revealed that Park Jung-hwan, a former member of DJ DOC, has submitted another charge against current DJ DOC member Lee Ha-neul after the first defamation of character suit placed on 15 November.

According to Kpopseoul website, on 7 December, the police stated, "Park Jung-hwan has submitted a complaint against Lee Ha-neul through his lawyer on 6 December."

The new complaint cites that Lee Ha-neul had further defamed Park Jung-hwan's character, based on a comment made during "Kim Chang-ryul's Old School" radio show.

On the show, Lee Ha-neul apologised to Park Jung-hwan, saying, "Jung-hwan, I'm sorry. But this is something we could have resolved over a drink. I heard you're running a car dealership these days. If you drop the charges, I'll buy a car from you. I haven't even paid off the mortgage on my home yet."

Park Jung-hwan claimed at the time that Lee Ha-neul's apology seemed insincere, and that he felt "mocked and ridiculed." He stated, "I submitted an additional charge against Lee Ha-neul. Our company has suffered a great loss, so the lawyer from our company advised that an additional complaint was needed."

Only Lee Ha-neul was sued this time since Kim Chang-ryul did not have anything to do with the comments made.

As a recap, the whole shenanigan started when DJ DOC's former member Park Jung-hwan sued Lee Ha-neul and Kim Chang-ryul for making fun of him and saying that he was "rhythmically challenged" on "Happy Together 3" while discussing their past member line-up changes. Lee Ha-neul publicly apologised after realising that his first apology on the radio show had sounded far from sincere. Ha-neul stated that Jung-hwan did not actually lack a sense of rhythm and also revealed that he would be pulling out of the entertainment industry to show how truly sincere he was.

Since then, Lee Ha-neul has expressed his feelings about the current situation and has reached out to Jung-hwan, asking to resolve the misunderstanding. However, Park Jung-hwan stated that he had no plans of withdrawing the lawsuit and stated that although it hurts him to sue his former group members, he has been left no choice but to follow through with it.
