Patrick J. Adams and Troian Bellisario Admit Their Kids Probably Watched “Octonauts” Rather Than Golden Globes (Exclusive)
The couple opened up to PEOPLE at the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday
Patrick J. Adams and Troian Bellisario are fighting a losing battle for their kids’ attention!
The husband-and-wife duo predicted on the red carpet that their two children Aurora, 5, and Eliot Rowena, 2, would be catching up on cartoons instead of them on the 2024 Golden Globe Awards.
“On the way out, they were just grasping the idea,” Adams, 42, exclusively tells PEOPLE. “They could watch this at home, so it might be happening [but] they probably want to change it and put on Octonauts or something.”
“Yeah, it'll be a fight between us and Elemental,” Bellisario, 38, adds.

Adams also reveals that his New Year’s resolution is to slow down.
“More sleep, more time with our little girls who we love,” the actor tells PEOPLE. “We're blessed just to keep on keeping on.”
Adams and Bellisario met in 2009 while working together on the play Equivocation. The pair married in December 2016 and welcomed their first daughter Aurora two years later. Daughter Eliot Rowen arrived in May 2021.
Adams was also reunited with his former Suits costars at the ceremony as he appeared onstage with Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres to present best TV drama to Succession.
But earlier in the evening, the actor admitted that he didn’t expect Suits — which ran from 2011 to 2019 — to become the phenomenon it now was via huge numbers of Netflix streams.
“When you say goodbye to a show and you walk away and it ends and you had your moment, you think that's it. It's going to be over and nothing else is going to happen,” Adams tells PEOPLE.
“So to have this second swell has just been really, really strange. And it happened. And then it was one week and then it was two weeks and five weeks and it kept going. And I think we had a twelve-week run at number one.”

“It's just crazy. So we feel very grateful. And I think there's something about the show that clearly continues to speak to people, so we're very grateful,” he adds.
And his wife is supportive too, adding that the success of the show has been "wild" to watch.
"It feels wonderful because it feels like so many people are getting to see the incredible work that this team of people have done for so many years,” Bellasario says.
“Everytime somebody comes up to me and they're like, ‘I'm obsessed with Suits,’ I'm like, ‘Welcome aboard.’ It's been that way. So I'm just really excited that people are getting to watch it now.”
