Patrick Mahomes is taking in the Kansas City Chiefs’ fourth Super Bowl win.

During Wednesday’s Super Bowl victory parade in the Chiefs’ hometown, the quarterback, 28, celebrated his third championship win with shoutouts to his teammates and their "underrated" defense.

"Kansas City, let me hear you one time!" he started off his speech.

"Man, what a year. To battle through the adversity. To continue to go. To go for that championship. They all doubted us. I don’t want to hear any different. But you know who came through in the end? That’s the Kansas City Chiefs. I just want to thank everybody here, because Chiefs Kingdom, y’all are the reason that we do what we do," Mahomes said.

His wife, Brittany Mahomes, briefly interrupted him to remind him that he's "a regular quarterback." She seemingly referenced Tashaun Gipson Sr.'s comments, filmed by Red Tribe Cinema, where the San Francisco 49ers safety says, "That is just a regular f---ing quarterback."

"I’m a regular quarterback, it is what it is," he continued. "I gotta give a shoutout to that defense. Can I hear it for the defense? It’s crazy, a defense can win the Super Bowl and still be underrated, and that’s what those boys have been doing. Can I get a shoutout for Harrison Butker? Can I get a shoutout for Tommy Townsend? Can I get a shoutout for James Winchester?"

To finish his speech, he promised to bring the title back to Kansas City in 2025. He said, "Nah, for real though, we appreciate everything y’all do, showing up to Arrowhead every single week. We know we gotta go on the road last year, but I promise you next year we’ll be at home and we’re going for that three-peat, so don’t get it twisted, we’re doing it. Three times, first time in NFL history, we’re doing it. Love y’all."

After the Chiefs defeated the 49ers 25-22 in overtime, Mahomes lifted the Vince Lombardi Trophy and, for the second time, claimed the title of Super Bowl MVP. In a post-game interview, when asked how he stayed calm to throw the game-winning touchdown, the football star said it was a “microcosm” of their season. He went on to thank his team’s defense and “of course, Harrison Butker,” their kicker who tied the game up in the last 10 seconds of regular time with his field goal.

Mahomes then gave a shout-out to Brittany and their two children, Sterling Skye, 3, and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, 14 months. His mother Randi and brother Jackson also attended the game.

With the win, Mahomes became the fifth quarterback to have three or more Super Bowl titles under their belt. (Tom Brady won seven and 49ers legend Joe Montana won four, as did Terry Bradshaw with the Steelers and Troy Aikman with the Cowboys.) The Chiefs became the eighth team in league history to defend their title and the first since the New England Patriots in 2005.
