Pattinson gets T20 berth for Windies series

St. Lucia(West Indies), Mar 27(ANI): Australian pacer James Pattinson will make his first appearance in the West Indies after being named in the Twenty 20 squad. Pattinson was named in the side for the first T20 match, along with allrounder Dan Christian, which are the only changes made in the squad that won the final one-dayer by 30 runs. Pattinson, 21,had earlier been ruled out of cricket after suffering a buttock muscle strain in the one-day final against Sri Lanka in Adelaide earlier this month. Christian makes a comeback into the side after being dropped for two one-dayers. Australian Twenty20 captain George Bailey said his team's biggest challenge will be to tackle allrounders Darren Sammy, Kieron Pollard and Andre Russell after their stellar performances in the ODIs. "They've got some enormous strikers of the ball, pure hitters. We've talked about a few ways to try and defuse that, a few different things to focus on but I think one of the inevitabilities of Twenty20 is you're going to bowl balls that are going to get hit. Most importantly it's about how you can respond to that," The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Bailey, as saying. Australia: Shane Watson, David Warner, Matthew Wade, George Bailey (capt), Michael Hussey, David Hussey, Dan Christian, Brett Lee, James Pattinson, Clint McKay, Xavier Doherty, Nathan Lyon (12th man).
