Pedestrian Narrowly Avoids Being Hit by Car Speeding Away From Police
Polish police said “scenes like from a movie” unfolded on November 8 when a banned driver almost mowed down a pedestrian during a high-speed pursuit in Raciborz.
CCTV footage from the incident shows police following a black Volkswagen, which mounts the pavement and drives straight at a pedestrian. Luckily, the man reacts fast to nimbly sidestep the oncoming car. The car then collides with another vehicle, which sends it off the road again.
Police said a warning shot was fired, before the driver and a female passenger were pursued on foot.
Police said the driver had three active bans in place, and no license. He could face five years in prison. Credit: Silesian Police via Storyful
