‘Percy Jackson And The Olympians’ Premiere Surpasses 26M Views Since Debut On Disney+ & Hulu
EXCLUSIVE: Percy Jackson and the Olympians is firing on all cylinders for Disney+.
The premiere episode of the streamer’s original series, based on the books by Rick Riordan, has now amassed 26.2M views in its first three weeks on Disney+ and Hulu, according to the company. That’s double the viewership it managed in its first week.

Disney says that all five available episodes have surpassed 10M views in their first week on the platform, which seems to stay in line with the premiere’s initial viewership, though some decline is very usual and expected as the season progresses.
The company defines a view as hours viewed divided by runtime, similar to Netflix’s calculation.
Nielsen data for Percy Jackson and the Olympians could be available as early as Thursday, if the first two episodes manage to make it into the streaming top 10 in their first week on the service. Based on Disney’s reporting, it’s entirely possible the series will be on the charts. This could provide a bit more data about how the series is performing compared to other streaming originals, both on Disney+ and other platforms.
Based on Disney Hyperion’s best-selling book series by Rick Riordan, the well reviewed Percy Jackson and the Olympians stars Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood.
Created by Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, the series is executive produced by Steinberg and Dan Shotz alongside Rick Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Bert Salke, The Gotham Group’s Jeremy Bell and D.J. Goldberg, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Monica Owusu-Breen, Anders Engström, and Jet Wilkinson.
Episode 6 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians drops on Disney+ Tuesday at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET.
