Pinky Cheung files police report against stalker fan
4 Jun – Pinky Cheung recently revealed that she has filed a police report against an obsessed fan who has been stalking her for years.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress recently spoke about the issue on Instagram, saying, "I have always had a good relationship with fans, but in recent years I have been harassed, embarrassed and intimidated by a fan for a long time. She had a good relationship with me at the beginning, and I loved her very much, just like my sister, but she gradually made a lot of unreasonable demands on me."
Pinky said that she at first tolerated the fan, but found it harder and harder to fulfill her many requests. She said that the fan began showing her frustrations and decided to harass Pinky instead.
"She would threaten me, wait for me at my house, and this has seriously affected my private life and work. But most importantly, it has affected my family. It turns out that my patience only made her worse. She even used the gift that she gave me in the past to slander me," she said, adding that the fan told people that Pinky would swindle fans out of gifts.
"In desperation, I chose to use the law to protect myself. In the end, I [decided] to report the case," she said.
Pinky stated that while everybody has the right to freedom of speech, the said fan has constantly discredited and damaged her reputation online.
"Cyberbullying is like a deadly invisible weapon. I chose to call the police to protect my family and protect myself. I am willing to stand up and tell everyone - I have not done this. I will not be afraid to go to the court! I have always treated every fan who loves me with all my heart. Other fans who have been with me for more than ten years are very clear about me! I hope that this matter can calm down as soon as possible! I am very grateful to have fans who have always supported me, and I will continue to work hard to be myself!"
