PNG says Australian immigration centre on Manus island to close

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Papua New Guinea (PNG) will close an Australian immigration detention centre on an island after the PNG Supreme Court declared detention thre unlawful, PNG's prime minister, Peter O'Neill, said on Wednesday. O'Neil said Papua New Guinea would ask Australia to make arrangements for the more than 800 asylum seekers held at the detention centre on Manus Island.
