Pokémon spinoff at Netflix shares first-look trailer
Pokémon Concierge has unveiled a first look trailer for the new Netflix spin-off series.
The stop-motion animation will tell the story of Haru, a concierge at the Pokémon Resort, and her interactions with Pokémon and their owners who visit as guests. The brief clip introduces us to Psyduck, who is presumably Haru's companion, with the Pokémon walking across the beach.
In an official statement, Minyoung Kim, Vice President of Netflix Content in Asia, said (via Collider): "Netflix is looking forward to delighting fans in Japan and around the world with Pokémon Concierge.

"[This] entirely new visual and storytelling experience [features] ground-breaking stop-motion animation, [and is] set in the Pokémon world in close collaboration with The Pokémon Company.
"We're also excited to reveal this new series on Pokémon Day and provide fans with even more things to look forward to on this special holiday celebrating the popular franchise."
The new show will help fill the void left by Ash Ketchum, whose story was completed following his triumph at the Pokémon World Championships. After becoming the "very best", the boy from Pallet Town will depart from the series later this year, with a heap of new characters set to be introduced.

Sarah Natochenny, the voice actor of Ash for the last 17 years, recently spoke about the developments for the character, revealing that she became emotional when told of the news.
"They said the thing [that Ash would depart], and my hand physically just gave out. And I started bawling at this meeting," she said. "The producers were trying to hold it together for me as well, they kept speaking in a very even tone. You could see a few other actors on the call and the director starting to get emotional as well, just seeing me, because we're very close and this is so sad."
There is currently no release date for Pokémon Concierge.
