Police arrest stalker who followed BTS' V into his residence to present him marriage certificate

A woman was arrested last week for allegedly stalking BTS member V inside the elevator of his apartment building and attempting to hand him a marriage certificate.

What happened: The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Friday when the woman, who is in her 20s, allegedly waited for V, whose real name is Kim Tae-hyung, outside the building in which his resides. She reportedly followed the 27-year-old BTS member inside his apartment building after spotting him arrive and leave his car.

The woman then allegedly followed V into the building's elevator and tried to hand him a marriage certificate. She eventually fled the scene after a security guard stopped her.

Her arrest: Authorities managed to track the location of the woman using the information she put in the marriage certificate, according to reports. She was arrested for allegedly violating South Korea’s anti-stalking act.

Past incidents: Reports noted that the woman had a history of stalking the BTS star in the past.

Label's response: BIGHIT MUSIC addressed the issue in a statement, writing, “We are responding with a no-tolerance policy to stalking crimes that disturb our artist’s personal life and threaten their safety.”

Meanwhile, V reassured his fans on Weverse that he is safe, writing in a post, “Hey hey, I'm all good~~ Don't worry.”
