Police hunt after defibrillators stolen from south London train stations
Police are searching for a man after defibrillators were stolen from south London stations.
The life-saving items were stolen from Lower Sydenham and New Beckenham stations after someone pretended the defibrillators were needed for an emergency.
The British Transport Police said a 999 call was made by someone at New Beckenham station, claiming the defibrillator was needed urgently at around 8pm on June 17.
The code was provided for the cabinet and the defibrillator was stolen.
Similar incidents took place on June 20 and January 29 at Lower Sydenham railway station, as well as at New Beckenham railway station on February 7.
Officers have released an image of a man who may have information that could help their investigation.
People are asked to text British Transport Police on 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 230 of 18 June, if they recognise him - or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously.
