Mandy Moore kicked off summer with a fun family trip!

On Sunday, June 9, the actress, 40, shared a series of photos from her family’s getaway to Carmel Valley Ranch in California on Instagram.

"Clearly no fun was had at all on our first summer trip up north to stay at @carmelvranch," she jokingly wrote in the caption. "I saw @whatsgabycookin stayed there a few months ago and she called it the mecca for families and she wasn’t wrong."

Moore continued, "I love that kids and families aren’t simply accepted but celebrated here."

In the photos, Moore is seen looking at animals with her two sons and enjoying the "nightly roast your own s’mores kits" — both of which are amenities she mentioned in her caption.

She added that "it’s also an excellent choice without your family too" and said that she and her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, are planning to return without their children, sons Augustus "Gus," 3, and Oscar "Ozzie," 19 months.

The This Is Us star concluded: "Thanks for taking such great care of us, @carmelvranch - we will be back!!"

In three of the photos, Moore is wearing a midi black dress with black sandals. One of the photos shows her in a navy blue swimsuit with a tan bucket hat while hugging her son in a blue-and-white striped towel, and another sees her in a gray pajama set while embracing her sons.

The ranch prides themselves on their activities, writing on their site, "Carmel Valley Ranch is a place to grow young, where people can truly play — throwing caution to the wind, listening to their inner child, seeking pure, absolute fun."

"I feel very lucky that my boys are not super squirmy," she said. "They recognize [that] I've always been that mom that's like, 'Look, I am going to pick your boogers and I'm going to slather you with moisturizer out of the bath.' That's just all they've ever known from me."
