Premier League table 2022-23: Latest standings, results and fixtures for matchday 37

Manchester United secured Champions League qualification with a big win over Chelsea on Thursday.

The Red Devils ensured Liverpool could not catch them with a 4-1 victory.

Earlier in the week, Leicester set up a nerve-wracking final day of the Premier League season with a draw at Newcastle on Monday night.

After Leeds took a step towards relegation with a 3-1 loss at West Ham on Sunday and Everton snatched a late draw at Wolves, the Toffees know a win will guarantee their survival next weekend.

Elsewhere in the Premier League table, Manchester City have won the title after Arsenal’s defeat to Nottingham Forest which secured Steve Cooper’s side’s survival. City then beat Chelsea in a title procession at the Etihad Stadium and drew with Brighton on Wednesday.

United were on the brink of ensuring they finish in the top four after Newcastle’s draw sealed their spot. Erik ten Hag’s side beat Bournemouth on Saturday and that, coupled with Liverpool’s draw with Aston Villa, means Jurgen Klopp’s side had only a very slim chance of catching them. Brighton have guaranteed European football next season by beating Southampton before their draw with the champions.

On Saturday, Tottenham were beaten by Brentford, while Fulham and Crystal Palace shared the spoils in an entertaining 2-2 draw. Two games in hand were caught up in midweek as Man United secured a top-four finish.
