Prime Video Releases Official Trailer for 'Federer: Twelve Final Days'

Prime Video has dropped the official trailer for the upcoming feature documentary, Federer: Twelve Final Days. Chronicling the last 12 days of legendary tennis player Roger Federer's final 12 days of his professional tennis career, the feature-length film was originally a home video and was never intended for public viewing.

The film candidly captures Federer's emotions in his final two weeks leading up to his retirement announcement, as he says goodbye to the game one final time. Having played the game of tennis for the past two decades, Federer offers a tearful goodbye to his widely-celebrated tennis career. Directed by Asif Kapadia, the film features a series of home videos. Federer can be heard vulnerable stating, "“I thought until this morning I had emotions in check, but I can feel it coming up."

The documentary pin points all the moments leading up to his final tournament match. Fellow tennis greats like Novak Dojokovic, Rafael Nadal, John McEnroe and Andy Murray appear in the film to say farewell to their friend and competitor. Reading to the cameras, Federer says of the game of tennis and how much it meant to him, "I used to watch the players with a sense of wonder, they were like giants to me. And I began to dream."
