All eyes were on Princess Kate as she made her highly-anticipated return to royal duties with an elegant appearance at the Trooping of the Colour – but another royal quickly stole the show. As the Princess of Wales took in the annual fly-over from the Buckingham Palace balcony with her family, her youngest son was peak Louis as he made a range of silly faces, tried to open a window, and even broke out some dance moves.

Prince Louis, who memorably created meme-worthy moment after moment at last year’s Trooping the Colour, was back to making faces at the annual event. He could be seen both giggling and scowling as he and his siblings drove to Buckingham Palace in a carriage with Princess Kate, and the antics only increased once they got to the balcony.

For his third Trooping the Colour, the six-year-old looked less than impressed by the parade, the band, and aircraft fly-over, openly yawning and scrunching his face during the show. At one point, the young prince could be seen trying to pull up one of the windows on the balcony, and he couldn’t resist tugging and playing with one of the blinds as Princess Kate leaned down to talk to him.

While the royal didn’t appear to be a fan of the military fanfare–he famously dramatically covered his ears during the fly-over at last year’s event–Prince Louis showed off his larger-than-life personality by dancing along to the music. As the band played, the prince hilariously put on a serious face and bopped back and forth in place, which got a quick smile from his mom–and a stern rebuke from his big sister, Charlotte, who looked less than amused and could be seen telling him to “stop.”

Prince Louis last brought his signature funny faces and reactions to King Charles’s coronation, where he could be seen yawning, smiling from ear to ear, and even adorably waving at the crowd as his grandfather was crowned king. His latest showing is just proof that Prince Louis isn’t afraid of the spotlight, and is all too happy to break up the formality of royal events with some fun.
