Prince William's tour of the British coastline is wrapping up, but before he heads home, he gave royal fans a quick update on Kate Middleton as she continues to rest and recover from her preventative chemotherapy. Today, the Prince of Wales made a stop at St. Mary's Community Hospital in the Isles of Scilly and gave a staff member some insight into how Kate is doing as she continues to postpone her royal duties. William has been back to work and is finishing up a quick two-day trip to Cornwall.

"May I ask how Princess Kate is doing?" hospital administrator Tracy Smith asked in a video shared by Sky News.

"She's doing well, thank you," William shared.

"Lovely, and the children as well?" Smith continued.

"The children are very jealous that I'm here and that they're not here as well," William finished.

People notes that the area has a special meaning for Kate and William, as they take the kids to Tresco often and when he was young, William spent time there with his brother, Harry, and his parents, King Charles and the late Princess Diana.

"Will you bring them later in the year, maybe?" Smith asked, to which William answered that there might be an opportunity for the family to make a trip sometime in the future, but that it would be a private getaway and not part of another royal appointment. Prince William's visit included opportunities for him to learn about health care and the challenges that the hospital faces with its unique island location.

William's trip to the Isles of Scilly started with a quick stop at St. Mary's Harbor, where he was seen picking up pastries for Kate, George, Charlotte, and Louis.

"My family are very upset I'm here without them," he said while he was greeting onlookers at the harbor, according to the Daily Mail. "The children will kill me if I don't go home later."

William has been easing back into his royal appointments since Kate's March 22 announcement. Sources close to the family say that although he's slowly working back to a normal schedule, his wife and family come first.

"William is prioritizing giving her all the time she needs to get better and the support, particularly to the children," an insider told People.
