Prince William Shares That Princess Charlotte "Wasn't Looking Forward" to Her Exams
Even princesses have school tests.
Today, Prince William shared that his 9-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte was in school, taking her exams. When asked about Charlotte by a young fan's mother in Normandy, the Prince of Wales replied, "Charlotte's at school, Charlotte's got exams." He added, "she's got tests – she wasn't looking forward to it this morning," before crossing his fingers and saying, "hopefully it's all gone well!"
The middle Wales child attends Lambrook School alongside her brothers, Prince George and Prince Louis. They started at the school near Windsor in fall 2022, and Charlotte is now finishing Year 4.

It's been a turbulent year for the Wales family so far, following Kate's cancer diagnosis, but the focus for the Waleses has been on making sure their children are okay. When Kate shared the news of her cancer and that she is undergoing preventative chemotherapy, she said, "It has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be okay. As I have said to them; I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body and spirits."
As Kate continues to receive treatment, Prince William is carrying out a scaled-back diary of royal engagements. Today, he is in Normandy for the 80th anniversary of D-Day commemorations in Normandy. Yesterday, he told a veteran who asked if the Princess of Wales was "getting better" that "she'd have loved to be here."
