Queen Maxima of the Netherlands Dazzles With Glittering Floral Necklace and Natan Couture Look During Latest Royal Engagement
Queen Maxima of the Netherlands took her proclivity for florals and applied the sensibility to her jewelry selection during a royal outing to the neighborhood of Zevenbergschen Hoek in the Netherlands on Thursday. The royal fashioned a streamlined ensemble with a sparkling statement necklace for her recent engagement.
For the occasion, Queen Maxima fashioned a look by one of her go-to designers. The royal wore a short-sleeve shirt in a shade of light pink with tailored, high-waisted, wide-leg white trousers courtesy of Belgian fashion label Natan Couture. Queen Maxima wore a pair of nude patent leather pumps by Ferragamo as well.

As for her accessories, Queen Maxima carried a clutch by Hermès and completed her look with pieces of glittering jewelry, including a bold floral statement necklace.
Queen Maxima’s necklace featured large, glittering gemstones in various shades of pink. The necklace, designed by St. Erasmus Artisanal Jewelry, acted as the ideal centerpiece for Queen Maxima’s ensemble, and featured an element of the royal’s style she gravitates toward.
Among European royals, Queen Maxima stands out when it comes to her fashion choices and royal wardrobe. While the queen has previously demonstrated her appreciation for such trends among royal women as the power suit, her style often evokes a playful, whimsical sensibility.
Queen Maxima’s love for florals has been on display during a number of recent public engagements. Last April, the royal fashioned a long-sleeve day dress with floral embroidery by Oscar de la Renta with an A-line silhouette for the launch of Amsterdams Stagepact MBO at Capital C. She also embraced florals when it came to her hat selection last May at the five-year anniversary of Codam Coding College in Amsterdam, for which she coordinated a Natan Couture dress with a Maison Fabienne Delvigne hat featuring a flower at the center of the ornate design.
Florals have always been a go-to motif of choice for Queen Maxima. Though a ubiquitous trend when it comes time for the spring and summer seasons, the royal often elevates the style by fashioning her own fanciful twist when it comes to her wardrobe and accessory selection.
