Rachel McAdams Goes Sheer in Givenchy, Elle Fanning Suits Up in Saint Laurent and More Tony Awards 2024 Red Carpet Arrivals

The 77th annual Tony Awards took place on Sunday evening in New York. The ceremony spotlighted the best theatrical performances of the year, with Daniel Radcliffe and Sarah Paulson taking home their first awards.

On the red carpet, stars such as Rachel McAdams, Elle Fanning and Nicole Scherzinger sported popular trends including sheer fabrics, sleek suiting and shades of scarlet. See their looks, as well as more red carpet arrivals at the award show below.

McAdams’ asymmetrical Givenchy gown featured a satin neckline and a sheer silhouette. The “Mary Jane” actress added on diamond-encrusted Tiffany & Co. jewelry, including bracelets, rings and earrings.

Nichole Scherzinger

Scherzinger brought the drama in a red satin gown with a dramatic flared skirt. Her one-shoulder Nicolas Jebran number incorporated delicate draping and sparkling embellishments. The former Pussycat Doll accessorized with Cicada and Maison H jewelry. Stylist Emily Evans, who also works with Ashley Graham and Kate Beckinsale, dressed Scherzinger for the occasion.

Elle Fanning

Fanning’s plunging Saint Laurent suit featured satin lapels. The actress punctuated her look with sharp pumps, diamond Cartier jewels and a bold red lip. Fanning was styled by Samantha McMillen, who also counts Kirsten Dunst and Brie Larson as clients.

Ariana DeBose

Ariana DeBose’s “stained glass” Oscar de la Renta gown came from the label’s fall 2024 collection. Inspired by Tiffany windows, her pastel frock was adorned with individually dyed acrylic paillettes. The Tony Awards host was assisted by Karla Welch, stylist to Kristen Wiig and Greta Gerwig, among others.

Julianne Hough

Julianne Hough’s strapless blush dress by Ermanno Scervino featured ruffles throughout. The actress and dancer added on Casadei heels and Vhernier jewels.

The annual Tony Awards, held at Lincoln Center in New York, celebrate the year’s biggest achievements in theater. Alicia Keys and Jay-Z performed “Empire State of Mind” at the 2024 ceremony, which saw DeBose reprise her role as host. Notable presenters included Angelina Jolie, Idina Menzel and Nick Jonas.
