Raising Cane’s Founder Pays a Record-Breaking $15 Million for a Nashville Penthouse
Two years ago, the Four Seasons began welcoming guests and residents alike at its Nashville location in the lively SoBro district. Along with almost 250 hotel rooms and suites, the downtown glass tower houses 42 private residences and one sprawling penthouse with gob-smacking skyline views. Chicken fingers tycoon Todd Graves, founder of the fast casual chain Raising Caine’s Chicken Fingers, recently sparked headlines for buying the nearly 4,000-square-foot crown jewel for a record-setting $15 million.
The deal went into contract the week of June 9, Bloomberg reported, and the transaction marks the highest price ever paid for a penthouse in downtown Nashville, according to the Tennessean. Rather grandiosely dubbed the Grand Penthouse, the urbane aerie takes up half the 40th floor with three bedrooms and bathrooms, plus a powder room for touch-ups and guests.

The abode’s airy design is the result of a multi-million-dollar buildout, which was spearheaded by Seattle-based architectural firm Miller Hull. There are pale wooden floors and gold-tone accents throughout. Numerous Music City landmarks, such as the Cumberland River and Nissan Stadium, animate the views, while an excess of natural light floods the penthouse thanks to the floor-to-ceiling walls of glass.
The main living area is expansive and features a trio of lounge and dining spaces set beneath a soaring ceiling dotted with pinhole recessed lighting. The room opens out to a 1,000-square-foot terrace that would allow for hosting large groups. The open-plan chef’s kitchen incorporates a massive island and modern appliances, including a wine refrigerator and Bluestar ovens, complemented by charcoal gray wooden cabinetry.
Like most of the home, the primary bedroom has a towering ceiling with walls of glass. Its en-suite bath, however, just may be the star of the show, with a white marble floor and a soaking tub set in front of a floor-to-ceiling window with the city’s skyline as a dramatic backdrop. Gold accents add to the glamour, while the massive walk-in closet includes glass-door closets and a host of drawer space.
Additionally, Graves will have access to a number of the Four Seasons’ signature luxuries, such as concierge access, fitness facilities, and spa services.

Graves, who appears to have a bit of a thing for penthouses—the 52-year-old billionaire has also acquired the top two floors of a forthcoming condo tower in Dallas—will open a flagship outlet of Raising Caine’s this week in Nashville. And, though it’s just one of the franchise’s 800 locations, the fact that it’s located on Broadway means it’s poised to be among its liveliest; it’s set among some of Nashville’s most popular honky-tonk bars.
