Rashee Rice's Neighbors Wish the Chiefs Star Well as He Leaves for Super Bowl — See the Sweet Send-Off!

The NFL rookie posted a video of his neighbors waving and holding signs as he left for the airport on Sunday

Rashee Rice got a sweet Super Bowl sendoff!

The Kansas City Chiefs star’s neighbors lined their street over the weekend to wish the wide receiver well as he drove to the airport to join his teammates for their flight to Las Vegas, in advance of Sunday’s Super Bowl LVIII.

In an Instagram reel posted to CBS Sports, families decked out in Chiefs gear and held signs for the rookie sensation, who waved back, seemingly appreciative for the turnout.

On his Instagram Story, Rice, 23, added two heart emojis to the heartwarming video.

In his first season in the league, the SMU product has had a breakout year.

Rice recorded his first 100 yard receiving game in week 12 against the Las Vegas Raiders, and broke the Chiefs single-season rookie receiving touchdowns record (7) three weeks later.

Drafted by the Chiefs in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, Rice was a three-star recruit at Richland High School in North Richland Hills, Texas.

His play this season has earned him accolades from his teammate and fellow Texan Patrick Mahomes.

“Some of those guys hit that rookie wall, and it seems like he just kind of pushed right through it and continues to get better,” the Chiefs quarterback said.

On Sunday, Rice, Mahomes and Travis Kelce were among the Chiefs who were seen arriving at Harry Reid International Airport, and they received Super Bowl LVIII Las Vegas hats upon touching down on the tarmac.

Kelce, sporting a red Nike hoodie, matching pants and white Nike sneakers, flashed a smile as he held up the cap ahead of the game at Allegiant Stadium.
