The Reason Why Jennifer Garner Wants Ben Affleck and J.Lo to Stay Together
Jennifer Garner is well aware of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's marriage issues, and apparently she just "wants the best" for her ex.
A source tells People that the 13 Going on 30 actor "wants him happy and healthy so he can be the best dad possible," adding that she likes the fact that J.Lo "lives a healthy lifestyle and supports Ben’s sobriety. Jen wants that for Ben."
An insider previously told Us Weekly that Jennifer wants Bennifer (lol) to stay together, saying “Jennifer Garner is encouraging Ben to work on his marriage to Jen. She fully supports their relationship and wants nothing more than for him to be happy.”
And, I mean, it does sound like there's hope that things could work out for Ben and J.Lo! An Us Weekly source said the Atlas actor is “committed to working on the marriage,” and that—while Ben was initially hesitant—he's been starting to “invest more” after struggling with "loneliness" and realizing "how much he misses Jen.”
As for what their issues even are, a source says their busy work schedules keep them apart, and that "over time, Jennifer and Ben found it increasingly difficult to communicate effectively, and small misunderstandings grew into significant arguments.”
For now, Bennifer have only been keeping in touch "primarily to discuss essential matters and updates," but they were recently spotted together smiling in a car so...that's something!
