Reba McEntire addresses her red carpet diamond ring: 'Let everybody talk'

The country singer brought out a diamond ring for 'The Voice' live episodes' red carpet.

Reba McEntire hit the red carpet on Monday as The Voice started its live episodes. The 68-year-old actress and country star wore a diamond ring on her ring finger as she posed for photos, but it wasn't for the expected reasons.

"I just found it," she told Entertainment Tonight. "I told [my brand manager] Leslie [Matthews], 'Imma put something over here; just let everybody talk about it.'"

McEntire clarified that she might have been trying to get people talking but isn't planning a wedding. The "Can't Even Get the Blues" singer has been dating Rex Linn since 2020, but the couple is not going down the aisle anytime soon. They met in 1991 on the set of The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw, but stayed in touch for years and reconnected in 2020 on the set of Young Sheldon.

McEntire was previously married to Narvel Blackstock from 1989 to 2015 and to Charlie Battles from 1976 to 1987.

Appearing on Watch What Happens with Andy Cohen last month, she was asked if she would get married for a third time. "That would be up to him," she responded. "If he wants to. That's totally up to him."

McEntire set the ring aside before the cameras began to roll. She went ringless during Monday's live episode of The Voice, which only has a couple of episodes remaining before it crowns a season 24 winner in McEntire's first season as a coach.
