Rebel Wilson says male star she plans to expose in her upcoming memoir is 'trying to threaten' her and has 'hired a crisis PR manager'
Rebel Wilson is releasing a book about her life titled "Rebel Rising" in April.
She teased on Instagram last week that it would expose the behavior of someone she's worked with.
Wilson has claimed the unnamed star has "hired a crisis PR manager and lawyers."
Rebel Wilson said a Hollywood star is "trying to threaten" her because she intends to name and shame them about their behavior in her new memoir.
The Australian actor's memoir, "Rebel Rising," will be released on April 2 and feature a chapter on the so-far unnamed person.
Promoting the book in an Instagram post last week, the "Pitch Perfect" star teased that the book would "name the asshole," who she said has now hired a team to try to stop press about it.
While Wilson hasn't identified the person yet, she did use masculine pronouns in a post on her Instagram Story about the situation.
In the post, Rebel wrote: "I wrote about an asshole in my book. Now, said asshole is trying to threaten me."
She added that he had "hired a crisis PR manager and lawyers" and was "trying to stop press coming out about my book."
"But the book WILL come out and you will all know the truth," she said.
Wilson first spoke about her intentions to expose the person in a video post shared to her Instagram earlier this month.
She said: "When I first came to Hollywood, people were like, 'Yeah, I have a no-assholes policy that means, like, I don't work with assholes.' I was like, 'Yeah, I mean, that sounds sensible, logical.'"
"But then it really sunk in what they were meaning by that, older people in the industry. Because I worked with a massive asshole, and, yeah, now I definitely have a no-assholes policy," she continued.
"The chapter on said asshole, is chapter 23," she added.
Wilson said her book will cover "everything" about her life, including her "hard" teenage years, becoming famous, and her "relationship with food."
