Regional police investigate early morning shooting in Kitchener

Waterloo regional police are investigating reports of gunshots fired in a Kitchener neighbourhood on Tuesday morning.

Police say they received the call about a shooting around 6:35 a.m., in the area of Harold Avenue and Jean Avenue.

The shots were fired into a residential building, police say.

No injuries have been reported and police believe the shooting was targeted.

Police say there will be a heavy presence in the area for most of the day.

Anyone with information is asked to contact regional police or Crime Stoppers.
