Republican impeachment probe 'baseless': Hunter Biden
STORY: Hunter Biden left his closed-door deposition on Wednesday after nearly seven hours of testifying in the Republican-led impeachment inquiry into Democratic President Joe Biden.

"They have produced no evidence that would do anything to support the notion that there was any financial transactions that involved Hunter with his father, period."
House Republicans allege that President Biden and his family improperly profited from policy decisions he took part in as vice president.
So far they have not presented evidence to back up these claims.
Republicans are also still pushing ahead with the probe, even after the person who provided the accusations at the heart of their case was charged with lying to the FBI about Hunter Biden's business dealings.
"I think this was a great deposition for us."
Republican chairman of the House Oversight Committee James Comer said the next phase would be a public hearing, without providing further details.
Democratic ranking member on the House Oversight Committee Jamie Raskin said the impeachment effort should be abandoned.
"There's no high crime. There's no misdemeanor. There's no treason. There's no bribery. And so it's really time for us to fold up the circus tent."
Investigators asked the younger Biden about his business activities, including his role with a Chinese firm and Ukrainian energy company Burisma, and his personal life.
According to prepared testimony released before the hearing, the president's son called the impeachment probe a "baseless" partisan pursuit against his family, fueled by "MAGA-motivated conspiracies."
It is not clear when or if House Republicans will make a decision on whether to draft articles of impeachment against the president.
As for Hunter Biden, he faces other legal challenges. Prosecutors have levied charges related to tax fraud and for illegally owning a firearm as a drug user.
Hunter Biden, who has spoken publicly about previous substance abuse issues, has pleaded not guilty in both cases.
