The air-fried patties are accompanied by a creamy, crispy, vegetable slaw, so these crab cakes are big on flavor and crunch. If you’ve been looking for a unique and healthy recipe to add to your dinner rotation, these crab cakes are it!

Ingredients

Vegetable Slaw

  • 4 cups shredded white and purple cabbage

  • 1 cup shredded carrots

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley

  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tsp celery seeds

  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Crab Cakes

  • 8 oz. crab meat

  • 2 tbsp bread crumbs

  • ¼ cup green onions, finely chopped

  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Make the vegetable slaw. In a mixing bowl, mix the shredded carrot and cabbage and parsley.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix the apple cider vinegar, mustard, mayonnaise, celery seeds, and salt and pepper.

  3. Pour the mayonnaise mixture into the vegetable mixture and combine. Set aside.

  4. Make the crab cakes. Add the crab meat, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and salt and pepper to a mixing bowl and combine.

  5. Scoop out portions of the crab meat mixture onto a plate and mold into 3-inch patties.

  6. Air fry the crab meat patties at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 6 to 8 minutes.

  7. When the patties are done, place them on a mayonnaise-coated bun, top with the vegetable slaw, and enjoy!
