Results of 2012 Wine Blog Awards

After combing through more than 500 submissions, a panel of expert judges and social media-minded oenophiles alike voted for their favorite English-language wine blogs on the Internet.

At the 2012 Wine Blog Awards in Portland, Oregon over the weekend, nine wine writers had reason to pop a cork and celebrate, including London-based British blogger Jamie Goode, whose postings on wineanorak.com snagged the coveted Best Overall Wine Blog award.

Blogs were judged by a panel of 16 wine experts, and public voting.

The astronauts stranded on the International Space Station are still not able to come home, Nasa has said. Two astronauts went to the space station almost 50 days ago as part of a test of Boeing’s Starliner capsule. Test pilots Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams were supposed to visit the orbiting lab for about a week and return in mid-June, but thruster failures and helium leaks on Boeing‘s new Starliner capsule prompted Nasa and Boeing to keep them up longer.
